Asia'H Epperson was booted out of American Idol last week and rightly so as she has been terrible since getting through to the top 12, continually ignoring Cowell's advice to stop singing the big songs which are not suitable for her lack of range and power. During the auditions, Asia'H Epperson banked big time on her own personal tragedy where her dad died unfortunately before she made it there and it has actually been on that angle that she has gained attention, not to mention baring some skin like her well toned midriff. Epperson's flighty demeanour has also meant the boys over the world getting the hots for her and it was no surprise that she started glamming it up with all sorts of ridiculously loud outfits and not working on her singing which was deteriorating.

Asia'H Epperson never had much of a voice - definitely the gravelly tone was attractive and most suitable for slow deep ballads but singing Whitney Houston and other big tunes would always lead to her downfall. In short, Asia'H Epperson sucked and never really stood a chance at being American Idol in this season 7. What will be next for the flighty waitress - would she be picked up for vocal coaching and a recording contract, or maybe some sex scandal involving Asia'H Epperson might be waiting in the shadows in the future with all the lurid details of her personal life.

American Idol Auditions San Diego Kicks Off With Tetiana Ostapowych

Despite the news of Australian actor Heath Ledger's untimely death, the American Idol season 7 auditions continued unabated with the third city in which the auditions were held for American Idol hopefuls - San Diego. The show kicked off with two old guys introducing the show before being asked to show more enthusiasm which they promptly failed to do. First to come up before the judges was Californian hottie Tetiana Ostapowych. Now the blonde firebrand could sing and showed loads of confidence but Simon Cowell hated her attitude and said she was obnoxious but still said yes to Tetiana hitting Hollywood. So did the other two judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.

Now this is great news for season 7 of American Idol as so far eye candy and good voices have been in rare supply with that combination. The first two episodes last week had Kristy Lee but that was about it as the others did not inspire too much interest. Tetiana is hot no doubt about it and she is pretty, but what made her ooze sex appeal was her utmost confidence in herself and to back that up the girl has a great slightly husky sexy voice. Will Tetiana Ostapowych become the next American Idol rumor hot girl?

Next up you had potential sob story and single dad Perry and his cute little kid Evian and Perry is a single parent after his wife got killed for some reason or another which sounded rough but he pulled through as a man and brought his little boy up and is now entering American Idol season 7 to try to provide for a better life for his kid which means that he is hoping to win the thing or fame and fortune and hit records for more money so that his kid will have food and clothes to wear and they will live comfortably for the rest of their lives. Thing is, the guy is a decent singer and the judges let him go to Hollywood as well together with Tetiana Ostapowych and he might give the other singers a run for their money but the thing about Perry is that he is not quite a looker so odds are against him but he did give a fine rendition of I Wanna Make Love To You by Boyz II Men.

Michael Johns the ex Australian native and quite a looker he has the pipes man and sang a soul tune by Otis Redding the judges loved him and thought he was a white soul boy and all let him proceed to Hollywood as well. Now that was quite a surprise first three up on the show and all went through but surprise surprise you had a whole bunch of bad singers and American Idol rejects and jokers after that. Unfortunately on top of that none were as funny as last week's new William Hung in Reynaldo Lupez who really took the American Idol world by storm with his hit rendition of a self-penned monster tune We Are Brothers. I am sure everyone loved him to bits, even Simon thought he was brilliant and enjoyed himself thoroughly.

Full bodied and huge chested Valerie Reyes was next up. Stating Mariah Carey as her idol, this girl has the body to rival that of the pop diva but when she was slightly slimmer. But if you have seen the latest photos of Mariah Carey topless you might have seen the woman is hard bodied and fit as hell with abs of steel but nobody would actually be interested in that. Back to Valerie Reyes, shots of her on American Idol season 7 auditions showed how much potential the girl has especially above her waist, but what a lousy singer this Valerie Reyes is. She really thought she was Mariah Carey and tried to do crazy runs but she cannot sing and Valerie is obviously living in her own world when the judges laughed after her audition and Simon said Oh MY God and she said "YES! I hope that means that was good and not bad!" and was so obviously delighted with herself. And Simon made a slightly racist remark when he said the only resemblance Valerie had with Mariah Carey was that she was darker but he should have noticed that the best resemblance Valerie had with Mariah Carey was her big busty chest which really made her hot but Valerie Reyes will not be joining the rest of the Idol hopefuls in Hollywood.

With Christopher you wonder again if the guy is actually a professional comedian trying to gain some exposure on the show and not someone in the 'healthcare' industry as he proclaims. Obviously he was not listening to whatever the judges were saying and purely wanted his five minutes of fame in the spotlight and continued to sing like crap and tried to milk his time for all its worth. Unfortunately Christopher nobody would remember you a day later you did not have a unique style or image to your comedy routines. Perhaps you should learn from Milo Turk.

To prove that bad boys really get the girls, Samantha Musa then professed her adoration for Simon Cowell and said that it was the bad boy image that Simon had which made him so hot and so many girls swoon over him. Well, Samantha was one hot mama herself. You could see Simon wanted to sleep with the girl as well as he double checked her details while looking over Paula's shoulder. The judges put her through and this kooky Samantha and Kiera Knightley look alike (but without the anorexic look) will be on the American Idol scandal radar.

An obvious professional comedian is Alberto Hurtado, the long haired, long fingernailed, effeminate fat ugly guy who, if not a comedian, must really sit at home playing with his dolls all day. It was disgusting seeing him on American Idol season 7, even for laughs. It was all in poor taste from Alberto Hurtado and that is not to say the TV network that American Idol is shown on. The comedy routine he chose was tasteless and not funny and quite frankly this guy might not go anywhere with his chosen profession.

One potential winner this year in season 7 of American Idol is definitely Carly Smithson. The girl can sing and actually got picked in season 5 but was booted out due to an ineligible visa. But she's back this year and looking to make up for lost time. I'm not too sure if she could handle every genre thrown at her and Carly is definitely nervous about things and you could see negativity and bad things have affected her confidence so that might play badly when she performs in the qualifiers but definitely Carly Smithson could be your next American Idol in 2008.

American Idol is Back - Season 7 Better Than Ever

Or is American Idol Season 7 the biggest anti-climax of the year? As the show opened with the Philadelphia auditions screened on Tuesday night, there was nothing different from previous seasons and it was the same old formula of finding the worst auditions and making them a global laughing stock, not that they didn't ask for it. But while there remain millions of fans worldwide, season 7 of American Idol looks tired and even the judges seemed jaded. Simon lacked his usual venom and Randy was quieter than past years. Hell, even the auditions were not as hilarious as the past seasons.

One that stuck in the mind was that of the hairy belly dancer guy who even bothered to listen to Paula Abdul's sickening advice to shave it off. And he did! Ouch! If you thought all that hair made it disgusting, wait till you see a totally clean shaven upper half of a fat wobbly guy dressed in belly dancing kit!

You gotta give American Idol credit though - the first audition episode unearthed some gems already and I am sure many are just waiting for their first American Idol sex scandal for Season 7. There was the training martial artist cum wrestler Kristy Lee Cook who sold a horse just to get to the auditions. Hot chick fit mama! Keep your eyes out on Kristy Lee Cook let's hope she gets through to the finals and hangs around, word is she was once under Britney Spears' label and has had a record album out before but did not make it. And the last one on the first audition - goody two shoes but looks deliciously quirky. The girls had their eye candy as well with that dreadlocked chap but that was about it for girls on American Idol season 7, but enough to leave imaginations running for the next Kelly Pickler or Jessica Sierra!

According to ratings released by Nielsen, American Idol season 7 was the lowest rated in four years, down 13 per cent from last year. But the surprising news is that the show still beat its competition from other shows. Wow that's quite a statement and you can betcha there are still hordes of American Idol fans who can't wait to catch more of the show.
